Desktop Preferences Pane is locked after install

I have a *.mov file I want to turn into a screensaver (or use as a screensaver), and I installed SaveHollywood on my Early 2015 MBP running 10.14.6. Unfortunately, as soon as I double-clicked the *.saver file, I couldn't get into the Desktop & Screensaver Preferences Pane. Closing the System Preferences and reopening didn't help, nor did ctrl-clicking, restarting, etc.

Unlike some of the other issues reported where something says No Videos, I can't even get to the point of actually setting up the screensaver. On suggestions from the Apple Discussion Forums, I did remove the desktoppicture.db file from Application Support, but even after doing that, the best I got was an all-gray Desktop & Screensaver Pane.

Does anyone know if this app should be working on 10.14.6?

I have the same problem, mine is also 10.14.6. I think it's just not compatible and have to wait for fix.
