Running the app locally during survey development is sending me to the end page, skipping the rest of the content

Description

I've been developing another surveydown survey. In my survey.qmd file I first built the page structure with headers and r code blocks with an sd_next() or a final sd_close() call for each page and then started adding questions throughout survey.qmd (and any sd_show_if() conditional logic in my app.R file as needed) . Originally whenever I would run the app to check on my additions, the survey behaved as expected. This includes when I had my whole page structure plus questions on the 2nd and 3rd pages and a question on the next to last page. However, after the last few questions I added on the 4th page, running the app now takes me to the end page and skips the rest of the content. I've tried removing those additions since the last time it behaved as expected, and it still went directly to the end page.

These are my survey settings in the header:

I checked the contents of pages.rds and it lists all the pages in the correct order with the questions I would expect stored in $questions. However, no questions are listed as required in $required_questions for each page.

In addition, I've tried to delete my _survey directory, restarted my Rstudio session, and double checked my syntax and conditional logic for errors. What should I do or check to troubleshoot or resolve this?

My surveydown version was 1.0.1 and I re-installed/updated to 1.0.2

I commented out the end page within survey.qmd and got a warning about not being able to select the current page

So then I renamed the welcome page to the end page, and then it loaded at the home page. I'll try restarting everything, not just my session and see if that resolves this issue.

Have you looked at our new structure for defining pages? https://surveydown.org/docs/page-navigation

We heavily simplified things so that now you don't need to specify a next button on each page - they're automatically added. You can use sd_nav() (instead of sd_next()) if you want to have some fine-tuned navigation control on any one page.

I had not seen that -- no. It also looks like backwards navigation is supported now?

Yup, that's one reason why we changed to sd_nav(), which controls both next and previous buttons, so sd_next() is now depreciated. Making updates to this streamlined approach might help in debugging.

That definitely did help so I could navigate backwards. But since I had the problem before I updated surveydown, I think it must have been something else. Was it because I had use-cookies set to true? I've turned that off now and can't replicate my problem anymore.
