Adding TOC to Revealjs file unduly shifts rendering display

Hello

This question has similarities with the question calllouts influence which slide is shown in the Presentation panel (after rendering)?, but its answer might differ.

Adding a TOC in a Revealjs Quarto document adds a section entitled by default "Table of contents".

This section is declared in the YAML header, not in the main code. Yet, after rendering in RStudio, the presence of this section shifts the Preview Viewer Pane

In other words,

• without a TOC, rendering displays the slide on which the cursor is,
• with a TOC, rendering displays the previous slide.

It is a bit cumbersome to have to navigate one slide after each render. So, could the TOC-added section be taken into account such that rendering lands at the slide congruent with cursor position?
