To have a setting to have 2 or more instances of Linux Mint on your device. Some use cases for this is...
How to access each instance
All instances will need to be encrypted. Each instance will have its own passphrase/password to unlock it. If you enter the passphrase for instance A, it will decrypt and boot into instance A, if you enter the passphrase for instance B, it will decrypt and boot into instance B, etc.
Secret Instance obfuscation
All Linux Mint installations that use an encrypted partition, will ask if you want to have secret instances, if you choose to have a secret instance, it will simply create these instances. If you choose not to create a secret instance, it will create a dummy secret instance or two to make it appear there is a secret instance when looking at the partitions on the system so most devices out there that have secret instances will not be confirmed since there will be setups that will not have secret instances but will look like there are secret instances when looking at the partitions.
Unless there is a way to hide secret instances which cannot be detected by looking at the partitions, this is the best way to achieve this.
