Hey! I had the same confusion so let me clear it up. Copilot actually runs two separate limits at the same time. The first one is Premium Request Units (PRU) which gets used up whenever you pick a premium model like GPT-4 or Claude Opus/Sonnet. Your 71.7% is from this pool and once its gone those premium models get blocked. The second one is standard requests which is that 29% you still see available. Thats a completely different pool which is why copilot still partially works for you. So you havent lost everything, just the premium model selection part. Honestly the easiest fix right now is to just switch to Auto mode. GitHub will pick the best available model on its own without burning through your PRU. And if you can wait, it resets automatically on April 1st so nothing extra needed from your side. This whole thing got way more confusing after the March 12 Student Plan change. Hope it helps! |
