2. old version pulled in openwrt, not recent one.

Actual Behaviour

@codemarauder @neheb @zhanhb @utoni @slartibardfast . There is a new version of udpspeeder that has performance optimization that is relevant for low performance devices. Can any of you update udpspeeder package from tag to commit hash please?

hi, i was still waiting to hear from the upstream maintainer.

i've been running the simd version in production for a good while now, it seems stable.
i guess if i don't hear anything soon i might do a soft-fork named udpspeeder-simd or similar and offer packages and propose it here. i've a keen interest in maintaining the AVX paths + any other arch that have SIMD now.

in the meantime, the static binaries on my github release should help:

hi i'd love to do that yes, but i'm not sure of the process.

i'll send a few discrete emails and see what happens

perhaps a fork udpspeeder-simd or similar will be acceptable to the openwrt leadership.

in the mean time if the the static binaries don't work perfectly for your target environment, please do send on its details and i'll add it specifically for you.

Thanks for your quick reply. UDPSpeeder original repo doesn't seem to be merging nor accepting new PR's like yours, it seems abandonned. So I believe yours could replace it if you would talk with openwrt leadership people, but that's up to them for sure. It would be great if yours replaced it.

my PR request is essentially un-reviewable by volume alone,
a fork is probably the best route, I do live in hope to hear from 'em.
Especially out of respect for their work, but i guess just about everyone in software is extremely busy at the moment.

Hello David, I only see binaries on https://github.com/slartibardfast/UDPspeeder/releases/tag/v20260310-rc1 and source code in .zip / tar.gz formats. You may want to send a git pull request. If the code base has diverged a lot, then you may want to introduce a new package udpspeeder-ng / -simd / -avx.
