How to create a forward-interlinear?

I'd like to create a forward-interlinear version (ie. interlinear where Hebrew is the main language) using the OSHB data. One (naive) way of doing this is getting a KJV with embedded Strong's numbers and, for each verse, mapping the Hebrew word to the English word(s) using the Strong's number.

I'm currently using this KJV, but the splitting within each verse is not exactly the same as OSHB's.

The splitting is also different for, say, Blue Letter Bible. (Anyone knows what data they're using?)

Also there's one that's actually free to use at OpenBible (unlike the one at Blue Letter Bible).

Using the sword library (https://www.crosswire.org/sword/index.jsp) you will have access to several text (including the Open Scripture Hebrew Bible and the KJV). I think versification information are available here:

KJV:

OSHB:

Although it is quite simple to get information about max number of chapter per book, or verse per chapter for a given versification system, I would not know how to easily map a verse number from KJV to OSHB nor the other way around.

What about:

• Assuming things are the same in a given chapter if the number of verses is the same.
• Trying to check if the mapping is correct by simply comparing the set of Strongs number for a given verse in both book so you end up knowing where differences occurs ?

You may be helped by https://github.com/educational-resources-and-services/bibletags-versification. That is the whole point of this open-source library.

While we will publish the particular data points needed for a translation at some point, for now you can get a sampling by looking at https://preview.biblearc.com/settings/versions, clicking on the more icons, and then "View information." There, look at the technical information table.

Here is a KJV with embedded Strong's that (after a looking at a few verses) seems far more complete (and closer to OSHB) in terms of how each verse is split into Strong's numbers. I wonder if it's free to download and reuse that data...
