Idea

Hello, engineers,

Does anyone know if there’s a solid solution for workflow automation out there? A few simple use cases I’m thinking of:

• New .docx files get automatically converted to PDF and then watermarked.
• Handling documents that need user signatures.
• Smart macros in spreadsheets that trigger new actions based on the data entered.

And so on.

Is there maybe an n8n integration that can handle this?

but to answer upfront: no gRPC involved, everything HTTP. So it basically works with any OpenCloud installation without having access to the internal network or internal shared secrets.
As much as possible it works via Libre Graph API - a bunch of operations are implemented via WebDAV because they have no Libre Graph pendant.

Should an API gateway, a K8s ingress controller, or any other type of proxy be chosen? Or will it simply be Traefik, as in the official OpenCloud Docker bundle? Can files operations be cache by ordinal HTTP semantics/mechanics?

So, is the LibreGraph API an HTTP API? If an API key is generated in the OpenCloud admin panel, can it be used to integrate OpenCloud features—for example, as cloud file storage for Moodle’s default storage engine?

Can the WebDAV protocol be used to integrate a video-conferencing solution to mimic a Nextcloud Talk alternative? Maybe OpenTalk, Jitsi, or something similar.

The Graph service is part of the OpenCloud backend architecture and is compiled inside the opencloud single binary.

It's just one of the APIs that OpenCloud offers - Web and the other clients already use it to retrieve space listings, create links/shares etc. It goes hand in hand with WebDAV. Graph is JSON, WebDAV is XML.
Some things can be done with both APIs, some things can only be done with one of them, e.g. create, copy, move and delete operations for files and folders are only available via WebDAV today. Everything handling spaces (drives in Graph terms), users, etc. is only available via Graph. Listing folders is possible with both.

I'm not aware of API keys in OpenCloud. There are app tokens which are bound to the user and they can be used for authentication against WebDAV or Graph.
