Highlight&Go tracking policies

This extension collects data using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics which is stored in Google's servers. Data captured via Highlight&Go is non Personally Identifiable Information.

Highlight&Go will only collect data after the user gives the consent in the extension, which preference can be modified at any moment in options page. Highlight&Go will only collect data when the extension is activated (the icon in the top-right is turned in blue), and only for the tabs where the extension is activated. It won't log any other kind of browsing interactions or use of your browser when the extension is disabled.

Collected data includes data related with the interaction done in Highlight&Go's UI, including: buttons clicks, links clicks, scrolls over websites and pages, or periods of time where the extension is activated. We will never collect inputed text via keyboard (such as themes, codes or groups names), annotated text content, comments).

The extension won't collect any information if you have disabled javascript or you have enabled any ad blocker (e.g.: AdBlock, uBlock Origin) or any privacy related extension (e.g.: Ghostery) on websites you are using Highlight&Go. Please, if you want to let us to collect data to help us in our research purposes or improve user experience of the tool, disable these extensions (at least in Digital Libraries or website domains where you are using Highlight&Go).
