I've tried adding more icons for the Windows Store version in 51c6a8b, as recommended in electron-userland/electron-builder#7966. I haven't tested it yet, since we need to wait for the update to be published.

The icon hasn't been fixed with the changes, I'll need to do more testing to see if I can find the exact cause.

Just updated the app, the icon now has a coloured background (the system accent colour).

App version 1.6.8

In that version I tried changing the backgroundColor of the appx to transparent to see if that was the issue, but as you've seen it only changes to the accent color.

I'm trying to add the altform-unplated icons as recommended in electron-userland/electron-builder#6608, electron-userland/electron-builder#7811, etc., but I'm running into the problem that electron-builder fails the build when they are present.

I think I'll have to try using a custom appxmanifest.xml to fix the build issues.

I still haven't been able to fix the issue where electron-builder doesn't build when the altform-unplated icons are present. I've opened an issue in their repository: electron-userland/electron-builder#9596

When I have more time, I'll try to do more tests using a custom appxmanifest.xml.
