For now i cant see a practical solution but:
Claude Code could poll API status in background and auto-resume when limits clear, or expose a hook for external tools to trigger continuation. Or something like this.
Alternatives Considered
Until stdin behavior of claude changes i believe setting an alarm is the easiest workaround
The Dreamer scheduler (which Matrix uses) can schedule tasks, but it can't inject input into a running/paused Claude session
Use Case
Pro users hits their limits faster and encounter this "blocker" more often
