UBERON:0002346 "neurectoderm" vs "neuroectoderm"

The term UBERON:0002346 "neurectoderm" also has a synonym "neuroectoderm." However, neuroectoderm seems more common amongst the linked cross references, and I also see more results when exact searching Pubmed for neuroectoderm. Are there any reasons why neurectoderm is preferred by UBERON over neuroectoderm?

Thanks for raising this! You're right — neuroectoderm is more commonly used in the literature and is the term used by most cross-referenced databases (FMA, NCIT, EMAPA, Wikipedia, etc.).

I've swapped the label and exact synonym:

• New preferred label: neuroectoderm
• neurectoderm moved to an EXACT synonym
