When calculating an undulator in polychromatic mode,
- is not possible to add the effect of Energy spread. This option works only for monochromatic source. Polychromatic source with energy spread is left for future development. Set Energy Spread=No:


- Watch out for the parameters for sampling the source size. If the internal code is used, the "Source for backpropagation" = "Reused (from polar)" has a BUG. Please use "Recalculated", it is also more accurate (so recommended for general use)!

If using backpropagation for sampling the source size, as we do, it is convenient to have a look at the Undulator Plots/Backpropagated radiation. It looks quite strange a it has unphysical side rings:

You can play with the magnification and weight it to remove the side peaks:

This setup gives a reasonable ray distributions:
