Question about `package-lock.json` in gitignore

Why is package-lock.json inside the .gitignore, but not yarn.lock or pnpm-lock.yml ?

Seems like if we were to use yarn or pnpm, the lockfile would be commited and all our team would share the same deps.
But as it is, if I use npm, the lockfile wouldn't be commited, and I wonder if I should remove the line, or if there is a good reason why it's there.
