Remove ` ` characters

They are Unicode codes for the space characters, and AFAICT, they're there for end-line spaces, which we can remove in most (all?) cases.

We should look into whether gitbook has a configuration setting to prevent this. I suspect this is produced from the UI, and therefore may return if edits are made to the same page from the UI.
