[Feature request] Add secure eraser

Hi. I do not if this should treated here or in nomacs repository. Please feel free to change it's location if not suitable here.

I would like to suggest on you - to make nomacs complete - to add "eraser" so that user can erase the contents of image (not to cover it by colour paint to hide it). The eraser should be of secure type so that no one can know what is(are) erased ... This feature called secure (reduction) erase.

The eraser should be of 2 shape types: circular & square, & of different sizes ...

If you added this feature then one can replace GIMP by nomacs if she/he is simple user not an artist ...

I don't quite understand. If you choose an opaque color, painting is secure (the original information is removed as soon as you save the image).

To my knowledge - please correct to me - that "paint" erasers in most application, are not secure so that they only cover the contents (i.e: remain hidden, just covered not purged), so that they could be revealed.

Edit: if nomacs "paint" is secure reduction, then we still need special icon for "eraser" & should be available in 2 forms: circular & square & user should be able to change it's size (decrease / increase). This better than current "filled square" option. I do not saying to remove "filled square". No ! "filled square" option should remain, but new "eraser" option in the form that I descride it will be more suitable for erasing. Please see the eraser of GIMP.

in nomacs paint is secure from the moment you apply the plugin changes (i.e. hit the 'save' icon) - all paint actions are then rendered to the image which removes the original information if the brush is opaque.

we still need special icon for "eraser"

I don't see a need to add two icons for the same action.

Hi. You said ".... if opaque" There is no opacity setting ! We have only colours ! So, this will lead me to ask: what are the SECURE colours to be used for secure erasing ? This really confusing !

opacity setting is in the toolbar:

it's 100% default - so you don't need to change anything to securely remove information....
