Partial OSUOSL ppc64le outage ?? January 2026

Related to the OSUOSL data center migration, two of our Linux ppc64le machines will be down today:

We are writing to inform you of scheduled maintenance on one of our
hypervisor nodes (openpower11.osuosl.bak) that will affect your virtual machine(s).

We are moving this system to the State Data Center located in Salem, OR,
which will provide improved infrastructure and reliability for our services.

Scheduled Time: January 14 at 8:00AM PST (1600 UTC)
Expected Duration: Up to 8 hours but more likely 4 hours

During this maintenance window, the following virtual machines will be
temporarily unavailable:

• test-osuosl-rhel9-ppc64_le-2 (ACTIVE)

The VMs will be gracefully shut down before maintenance and automatically
restarted once the maintenance is complete.

Apologies for the late notice, but I need to cancel today's planned migration and outage due to a family emergency.
