Is there a way to use yarn instead of npm when using this library?

I'm doing npx install-local ../path/to/library. I also tried installing the library in my project and running yarn install-local ../path/to/library but it keeps using npm.

I'm in the process of adding support for pnpm. I want to support yarn as well; however, there doesn't seem to be a way to install a dependency without updating the lock file.

npm install --no-save my-tarball.tgz

#pnpm
npm_config_save=false npm_config_lockfile=false pnpm add my-tarball.tgz

# yarn
???
