Steps to reproduce

1. Star items in nextcloud news
2. Install nextcloud news-android on a phone
3. Login to nextcloud instance: the items that were starred before the install don't show up

Expected behaviour

All the starred items should show up

Actual behaviour

Only some starred items show up, probably the ones that were starred after the app installation

Server configuration

Web server: Apache/Nginx

Database: PostgreSQL

Thank you for opening the bug report. How many unread items do you have in total?

That depends a lot on how often I read the feeds. Currently I have 95 starred articles (but they are marked as read) and 169 unread articles. But the number of unread articles can also grow into thousands sometimes (I follow ~200 feeds)
