CW2 Submission Checklist

Student: Martynas Prascevicius (001263199) Due: November 19, 2025, 5pm UK (Grace: November 21, 5pm UK)

✅ READY FOR SUBMISSION

1. Source Code Package

File: Prascevicius_Martynas_Code.zip (97 KB)

Contents:

  • ✓ distilbert_experiment.py (main implementation - 618 lines)
  • ✓ requirements.txt (Python dependencies)
  • ✓ README.md (instructions for tutor)
  • ✓ results/ (11 JSON files with all experiment results)
  • ✓ figures/ (5 PDF figures for report)

Status: ✅ COMPLETE - Ready to upload to Moodle

2. LaTeX Report Package

File: CW2_Overleaf_Package.zip (104 KB)

Contents:

  • ✓ Prascevicius_Martynas_DistilBERT.tex (4-page report)
  • ✓ literature/references_distilbert.bib (11 references)
  • ✓ LaTeX template/COMPXXXX.cls (template file)
  • ✓ LaTeX template/COMPXXXX.bst (bibliography style)
  • ✓ figures/ (5 PDF figures)
  • ✓ README.txt (Overleaf instructions)

Status: ✅ COMPLETE - Ready to upload to Overleaf

Next step: Compile on Overleaf and download PDF

3. Video Presentation

Script: FINAL_VIDEO_SCRIPT.md

Status: 📝 TO DO - Record 5-minute video using script

Requirements:

  • ✓ Talk over slides (no demo needed)
  • ✓ 5 minutes maximum
  • ✓ Cover: problem, methodology, results, findings
  • ✓ Use simple English (script provided)

Recording options:

  • PowerPoint: Slide Show → Record Slide Show
  • Keynote: Play → Record Slideshow
  • Zoom: Share screen + record
  • QuickTime: Screen recording

File format: MP4, 1080p or 720p, under 100MB

📋 WHAT TO SUBMIT

Submit to Moodle:

  1. Prascevicius_Martynas_Code.zip (97 KB) - Source code
  2. Prascevicius_Martynas_AI_Intro.pdf (from Overleaf) - LaTeX report
  3. Prascevicius_Martynas_CW2_Presentation.mp4 (optional but recommended)

🔍 QUICK VERIFICATION

Before submitting, verify:

Code Package (Prascevicius_Martynas_Code.zip):

  • Contains distilbert_experiment.py
  • Contains requirements.txt
  • Contains README.md
  • Contains all 11 result JSON files
  • Contains all 5 PDF figures
  • No .DS_Store or junk files
  • File size under 100 MB (✓ 97 KB)

LaTeX Report PDF:

  • Compiled on Overleaf successfully
  • Exactly 4 pages (not counting references)
  • All 5 figures included and referenced
  • All citations working
  • Student name and ID visible
  • AI Use Declaration included

Video (if submitting):

  • 5 minutes or less
  • MP4 format
  • Under 100 MB
  • Audio clear
  • All requirements covered (problem, methodology, results, findings)

🎯 TESTING YOUR CODE SUBMISSION

To verify your tutor can run your code:

  1. Unzip Prascevicius_Martynas_Code.zip
  2. Check README.md has clear instructions
  3. Verify all files are present: 
    ls -R
  4. Results and figures already included, so no need to rerun (saves tutor 20 hours!)

⏰ TIMELINE

Now until November 19:

  1. Upload CW2_Overleaf_Package.zip to Overleaf
  2. Compile LaTeX and check PDF
  3. Download final PDF as Prascevicius_Martynas_AI_Intro.pdf
  4. Create 9 simple PowerPoint slides for video
  5. Practice video script 2-3 times
  6. Record 5-minute video
  7. Submit all 3 files to Moodle before 5pm UK

Grace period: November 19-21 if needed (no penalty)

  • ✅ Video script: Complete (9-slide structure)

Just need to:

  1. Compile LaTeX → PDF
