Description
Please confirm the following.
- I checked the existing issues for duplicate feature requests
- I have checked that this feature request is not on our roadmap
What parts of Modrinth is your feature request related too?
Modrinth.com website
Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.
I published a datapack, with a required resourcepack. When I went to test out the pack, and went to re-install it throughout Modrinth, I noticed a problem: it only installed the datapack, and not the resourcepack. This is a problem: if someone installed only the datapack, the features might look weird without the resourcepack. To access and install the resourcepack, the person needs to go to the version description, scroll down, and click install on the resourcepack.
Describe the solution you'd like
Make it so that when you are installing a datapack that also has a required resourcepack:
- On the website: Prompt the user with the download of both files,
- On the app: Auto-install the resourcepack with the datapack.
If the resourcepack is optional:
- On the website: Prompt the user with the download of both files, but clearly indicating that the resourcepack is optional,
- On the app: Prompt the user if he also wants to install the resourcepack.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I don't have any other alternatives that I'm aware of.
Additional context
- I sent a support ticket through support.modrinth.com quite a long time ago about this issue, and so, it might be fixed.
- I cannot confirm if the issue is still present, as at the time of publishing this, the Modrinth website is completely glitched, as the API is offline (Modrinth website and Modrinth App are both broken: I cannot access projects, or do anything that requires the API) (If necessary: when trying to log into the website with Google, it gives this error: 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable - nginx).
