Git (gitlab integration) not related to project #3

Hi,
What do you think about creating separate set of addons that provide something like connector to git, but not related to project.
For example, i want to manage my git repositories in Odoo. But i do not want to connect them to project. I want to be able to create new git repositories on my server or on github from Odoo. I want to track updates of that repositories.
So, may be it would be good idea, to make separate addon (or addons) to manage git repositories (at least to keep there data structures related to git), and separate set of addons integrating it with project.
So, what do you think? Do it have sense?
