problems about student_checkpoint

Hello, recently I am trying to train my own student model by using the official deeplab link provided in the readme file. In the process of comparing the training with the original student model, I found that some tensors are customized, such as grad_mask_pl. I cannot figure out the specific content of this operation by reading the code. Can you explain exactly what this measure does?
