LLMs don't understand the how to import this module

When one-shot prompts to use this package, LLMs fail to understand how to import and use this package because it's using .js imports. It really struggles to understand how to import and setup the proper tsconfig.json to import this package and use it. I included the README.md in my prompt, and it still doesn't know how to import the package.

I suggest, that the tsconfig.json recommendation is included in the README.md so that LLMs can have the proper context on how to setup the right TypeScript project so that it doesn't divert to defining a types.d.ts file.

README.md has since been refactored. On file imports, this is something maintainers are aware about and will be reworked in v2 of the package. #809 #870
