Memory leak ssr

Hello, this module caused a memory leak issue in SSR in my application. The memory usage was increasing exponentially.

After removing it, the problem was solved.

On Monday I’ll provide a reproduction and more local tests, since I don’t have time right now.

@EduardoMateos where are you triggering snackbar?

You should never trigger it on server and make sure u are always triggering it on client.

Can you share places where you are calling it?

You can also for example make memory leaks in the app if you subscribe to event listeners or buses in created methods or server hooks and so on.
It is hard to spot such mistakes but you have to be carefull when using such

I’ve added to app.vue and then I use the composable when submitting the form for the typical “data saved” message.

I can create a reproduction for you on Monday and record a video.

first, in a clean fresh Nuxt 4.0.3 project I run:

npx nuxi build && bun .output/server/index.mjs

then I hit it with autocannon:

npx autocannon -c 50 -d 30 http://localhost:3000/

Memory goes up a bit but stays stable around 245 MB, and then drops once the requests stop.

Now I add the nuxt-snackbar module:

After that, when I run autocannon again, memory keeps increasing non-stop, reaching GBs within just a few seconds.

In my case, I had the project deployed on GCP and it was quickly piling up to 1GB of RAM until it restarted. This fixed it.
