Sorry if there is somewhere i should have put troubleshooting

I am on endeavourOS, installed via yay, installed a TTS system and STT system. However, the TTS doesnt seem to work; when I press 'read' it flashes the text in the bottom box but doesnt read out. Is there an easy fix for this?

My intention is to create a TTS for a virtual mic from a GUI if there are any better tools I'm not aware of.
