Cannot install SpeechNote.Addon.amd from Flathub

1. Its not the same problem as 281 i think. Because I have no error message.
2. Judging by this its probably flathub related bug (at least i guess). Any other way to install that flatpak addon? (bypassing flathub i mean)

I am unable to install the net.mkiol.SpeechNote.Addon.amd package from Flathub on Nobara. I have never managed to install it actually... The same thing happened to me even on Linux mint, Fedora (and kubutnu i think).

The installation fails every time. The process is being killed. With no error message. The console show it downloads 7,6gb when it reach 100% it instantly start filling the RAM. Then it freeze and the crash. The process is killed. (I have 16gb of physical RAM. when I tried to install it with 45gb zswap file created, installation failed anyway).

I successfully installed the Flatpak add‑on on my Steam Deck OLED twice by reformatting an external 1 TB USB SSD as a Linux swap partition and activating it in the KDE Partition Manager. After enabling the swap partition, I ran the Flatpak installer via the Discover Store and waited 20 minutes for it to finish. Interestingly, I didn't see the swap usage exceeded 15 GB. I don't know that allocating additional swap space will work for everyone.

@Unproven0873 How much free space you had and how much swap exactly you had? (It was not whole 1 TB, right?)

I tried it with 90gb of free space and 45gb of swap, I think... and it failed anyway.

Just double-checked: I have 109 GB of free space. And yes—my entire 1 TB SSD is reformatted as a Linux swap partition (no zswap on that USB SSD; it’s plain swap).

On my Steam Deck OLED, I do have zswap enabled (8 GB) by default, but that’s separate from the 1 TB external drive.

Your setup (90 GB free + 45 GB swap) should be sufficient. Make sure the 45 GB is actually active/enabled as swap, the KDE Partition Manager is an easy way to verify. If the swap partition won’t activate, reboot and try enabling it again afterward.
