I've tried this in a few different VSCode based editors, and it seems to only work in the official VSCode. I'm not sure what you'd need to do to enable editing of the settings in the various forks out there (plenty of popular ones), but this is one of only a handful of extensions I've run into this issue with. Other extensions meant for VSCode are able to have their settings modified, so it's certainly possible.

I'll clone and see if I can dig in and see what needs to be changed to enable settings in any VSCode fork.
