ifttt login fails authenticating and showing timed out

I have been trying this ifttt-cli from all possible options as below, but failded to sign in to my IFTTT account as chromium opens of-course but not redirects to any such url where i can sign in or using -e option also its same. I am getting timeout. I have no proxy set. Internet i working normally.

:Error I get:

TimeoutError: Timed out after 30000 ms while trying to connect to Chrome! The only Chrome revision guaranteed to work is r686378

1. Installed node.js on Windows 10 and tried installing and login to IFTTT
2. Installed Cmder on Windows 10 and tried installing and login to IFTTT
3. Installed node.js on Ubuntu 16 and tried installing and login to IFTTT
4. Installed node.js on Windows 10 ISL Ubuntu and tried installing and login to IFTTT

sudo apt install npm
npm install -g ifttt-cli
ifttt login -e <uid> <pwd>

Anyone reported this already? I searched but not found any. Any help to fix this would be greatly appriciated.

Also I would like to know if I can change the default browser from chromium to something else or if this can be possible via cli only.
