I would like the support for the Xone:3D particlely for MacOS

In adding the USB to MacOS the audio channels are recognised without any drivers but MIDI can not bee seen,

I am in the process of Wireshark captures to add them here. I have done the adding the USB device capture.

This is a capture of the device first being plugged into an older OSX machine, where the drivers for the device still work.

• OSX MacBookPro 5,3 (Working with existing drivers Audio and Midi)
• MacBook Pro M1 (Audio Working - Class Compliant, Midi not working)
• Ubuntu Studio (Seems to be easier to debug)

Also, looking at the startup capture: this device seems to be 99% class-compliant. Both audio and MIDI. I suspect macOS rejects it, can we find out why?

This device is class compliant. It therefor also never got drivers for macOS as it should be plug and play. A quick search also reveals that it should just work on modern macOS.

The MIDI on this device should be supported by AppleMIDIUSBDriver on modern macOS. If you can find out why this driver rejects it let me know. But until that time I regard this device as natively supported by the OS.

It does connect; external MIDI devices plugged into it can pass MIDI data but none of the controls on the 3D create any data.

• The Mac version of this is running on the old mac and can configure. Xone3D is running latest firmware. Midi and audio works perfectly. Sliders recongised in software.

Macbook Pro M1

The drivers are probably fighting by now. Completely remove the drivers from here. The class compliant drivers of macOS should serve the Xone:3D.

• Removed all drivers, including my MOTU and rebooted.
• Xone 3D is visable in both Audio and Midi as a device
• Audio Works fine
• Sliders do nothing, generate no messages in Midi Monitor.
