Testing example

For consistency, I think that it's important to test the figures generated in the example.
For doing it, nilearn can be a good example (see section Generating New Baseline Figures For Plotting Tests of the maintenance documentation).

IMHO this is good-to-have, not a must-have. There are so few examples and figures that it is still possible to check visually.

I am just afraid of the side effects of the modification of some functions, which modified the examples without that anybody noticed it.

Yes, we need to eyeball the examples, in any case !
