This afternoon the app was working perfectly. I closed it to update it, and now none of the versions work. Version 1.11.12 shows an error immediately after entering the username and password. Version 1.11.8 starts working but then eventually shows an error. Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Solution for ENOENT: no such file or directory errors in SimpleInstaBot (MacOS 26.x, version 1.11.12)
I was having the ENOENT: no such file or directory error for followed.json, liked-photos.json, and unfollowed.json after updating.
My dear ChatGPT helped me solve it! The solution was to manually create empty JSON files in the SimpleInstaBot folder:
Cause:
The bot expects the following files to exist in the ~/Library/Application Support/SimpleInstaBot/ folder:
followed.json
liked-photos.json
unfollowed.json

If these files are missing (e.g., after a fresh install or update), the bot cannot start properly.

Solution:
Open Terminal.
Navigate to the SimpleInstaBot folder:
cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/SimpleInstaBot
Create empty JSON files for the bot to use:
echo "[]" > followed.json
echo "[]" > liked-photos.json
echo "[]" > unfollowed.json
Verify the files exist:
ls -l followed.json liked-photos.json unfollowed.json
Start the bot again (npm run dev or using the app). The bot will now:
Recognize your username.
Automatically generate user-specific files like:
xxxxxxxxxx-followed.json
xxxxxxxxxx-liked-photos.json
xxxxxxxxxx-unfollowed.json
This ensures the bot can track followed/unfollowed users and liked posts properly.

Note:
Do not delete the user-specific files once they are created.
This solution works for fresh installs and after updates where these files are missing.
