Simplest code suggestions are no longer working if Github Copilot AI credits are at 100%

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes/No

No idea.

• VS Code Version: 1.122.1 (system setup)
• OS Version: Windows 11

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Reach the 100% level of your Github Copilot AI credits
2. Vscode switches into a none working / useless software.

Example:

Click on fix or any other button - nothing works anymore.

Same when creating a commit message.

My understanding was inline suggestions will always work, also if AI credit is empty.

I suggest to remove Github Copilot from VSCode completly. The costs are overwhelming and it makes no sense since June 1th.

There should be a local or free solution.

That's just a bot, it automatically sends that message for any version that isn't the newest

There is a difference between "quick fix" and "fix". The "fix" uses AI, and because of that, will need credits to work.
