Enter command sent to Python Interactive instead of Copilot

When the last window active before moving to Github Copilot Chat was Python Interactive, entering text on Copilot and pressing enter causes the enter command to be send in Python Interactive window instead of Copilot.

This issue occurs on both Mac and Windows computers and it does not make a difference whether you move from Python Interactive window to Copilot via mouse click or via customized keyboard shortcut. The issue always occurs.

"Python Interactive" Is this the terminal, the builtin python repl, something else? Can you share a screenshot or recording?

It's Python repl, not the terminal.

Can you try updating both vs code and python to the latest and check if it still happens? This should have been fixed by microsoft/vscode-python#24130 and I'm not seeing this behavior anymore.

Just to clarify, you are seeing something different from this behavior?

Is the python extension up to date as well?
can you run toggle keyboard shortcuts troubleshooting and repro the issue then find the logs where it resolves enter to a command, e.g.:
