Should I create a calculated column in the Cost table?

We use Terraforma nd we have a naming conventions for our Resources and Resource Groups.
As result the column x_ResourceGroupName has values like:

com-eus-icust-prd-rg
Which means companyname-region-whatis-environment-rg .
Our taggin is moslty OKish but as I want to track the cost by company and Resource Group.
So I want to create a calculated column that takes only com.

PROBLEM:
I cannot create a calculated column... Because the the .pbix is in DirectQuery mode and you cannot:

SOLUTIONS:

1. Pass to import mode: I think is a bit out of scope, we have 6 years of data and it will simply blow up the whole thing
2. Create a calculated column in ADX: Not sure if this is possible. The ADF might scream?
3. Create a Measure in another table: not sure, it might work, it might not. Lot of speed lost in calculation
4. Any other idea... ?

ChatGPT suggested me to edit this part:

and add:
