There was no 2025-07 devlog entry because I was concentrating on creating music that week (Ableton basics, circle of fifths, songwriting, DJ'ing, sampling, scratching, Max for Life, vocals recording, MIDI mapping).

diving into ledgerloops now, looking into compat with MyCHIPs.

running into some issues while trying to run MyCHIPs on my laptop. I'm able to sign up for mychips.net but I need an Android device to use it.

MyCHIPs uses https://github.com/gotchoices/wylib and Postgres as its API. It should be possible to interact with it. I could try to talk to the mychips.net server. But I will not be able to see what happens in the db then. So instead, I'll wait for gotchoices/MyCHIPs#371 to be resolved, and then try to talk to a MyCHIPs instance in my laptop docker.

Concentrating on Komunitin until then.

Getting cc-dev-client to run:

• add repositories entry in composer.json
• run php -S 127.0.0.1:3000 in the folder after composer install

Then visit http://localhost:8080
You can run docker exec -it `docker ps -q | head -1` mysql -u root to connect to MySQL

I'm trying to get the tests to pass. It's saying trunkward node does not exist

I'm running into a lot of small issues with the MyCHIPs and the credit-commons code. It's OK but it's going to be slow.
With Komunitin it feels easier. Talking to Esteve tomorrow.
Two other activities I could focus on for the rest of today:

• read the Yanis Varoufakis book 'Talking to my Daughter about the Economy' which I printed

Every node connection should have matching hashes at all times.

Credit Commons Protocol uses account addresses very similar to Interledger, although interestingly, they can be relative, and there can always be only one route.

In the spirit of Co-existing Data Formats, we should create a world where Credit Commons and Interledger and more systems can live alongside each other.

I guess it's OK for a node to be a member of multiple CC trees, but CC will not support routing between them. You could create a higher layer that does that though.

Does CC support workflows including timeouts?
Does CC support workflows including hash conditions?
What are those hashes for in the handshake?
