Hi i notice that a lot of repeaters are coming up for a day or 2 then they are still on the map but off the air.
My Repeaters have the Owner info setup. I wish this could be public when i clic on a repeater do be able to contact the owner when down,
Already my repeaters are identified like this Repeater VA2DGR and Location. in the Owner info i put my call VA2DG and a email to be reached.
Most Ham radio Repeater or client node are identified with their call sign.
But a non Ham they just have like LaPrairie_Basin_R1 or YUL-Jean-Talon or 6FA31D40 Repeater or a weird naming than make no sence.
2 of those 3 aboce indicate location but 3rd one is not. Having the Owner Info it would facilitate to get hold of the owner and inquire about his RPT not functionning etc.
I would encourage everyone setting up a repeater to clearly identify it properly with like Repeater Callsign Location of Repeater Location and set there Owner info. At the most we can omit the word Repeater because the Icon is self explanatory. That would leave more space to better describe it.
So, back to my request can Owner info be implemented on clicking the Repeater icon on the map
