According to people on the forum https://forum.seeedstudio.com/t/conflicting-battery-info-for-xiao-nrf52840-as-well-as-xiao-esp32-s3-info-needed/295355/7 the XIAO esp32s3 can't be used with NCM battery, so maybe the meshcore firmware should not offer this as an option since it might confuse people into trying that out without consulting the specs of their device...
