Heltec Wireless Tracker v1.2: Full TFT display redraw every ~5 seconds

Hello,
I’ve noticed that the TFT display (ST7735) gets fully redrawn roughly every 5 seconds, even when nothing on the screen seems to change.
The Heltec Wireless Tracker v1.2 should be the same as v1.1.

Actual behavior:
Full screen redraw occurs every ~5 seconds.

The same hardware running a different competing firmware does not show this behavior.
Likely a different implementation are being used.
Is this correct, or is it unintended behavior?

Can confirm this is a issue with both units I have. The issue is not present on the T096.
