Any chance things (repo and/or code) could be reworked in such a way to be compatible with Vim 8 packages, rather than reliance on Pathogen or doing things manually?
Installation then becomes as easy as: git clone https://github.com/maxbane/vim-asm_ca65.git ~/.vim/pack/plugins/start/vim-asm_ca65 or curl | tar equivalent.
