as far as I can tell, the frontend is not receiving the correct unicode character.

Looking into the response gotten by the rester, the string returned is:

b'Zeitschrift f\xc3\x83\xc2\xbcr Physik B: Condensed Matter'

Meaning the character the frontend sees is \xc3\x83\xc2\xbc which corresponds to ü in unicode, not Ü
