Improve documentation and add a standard contributing guide

Problem Identified

There is a lack of comprehensive documentation or a standard CONTRIBUTING.md file for newcomers.

Proposed Improvement

Add a setup guide and contributing guidelines.

Expected Benefit

This will lower the barrier to entry for open-source contributors.
