Summary

As a user I want to be able to see all the work items in their hierarchical order and expand each level separately such that I have a better overview over all the open tasks.

In Azure Dev Ops this is solved like this:

Ideally, this is built into the existing list view or added as a completely new view "Hierarchical List View"

Why should this be worked on?

With the new hierarchical order in the enterprise grid subscription (https://plane.so/blog/introducing-workspace-work-item-types-hierarchy), the need for a better display option for visualizing the hierarchy is critical.

this unfurling already exists on all our plans up to four levels of visibility. right now, there's an intermittent bug that takes out the > sometimes on the List Layout and takes a little time to load sub-work items when the > does show up and is clicked.

• on plans that have Work Item Types, the nesting works for all work item types configured in your project.
• on plans that have cross-project nesting, the unfurling shows sub-work items nested under each parent no matter which project they are in.
• on plans that have configurable hierarchy, the nesting works within the guardrails of your hierarchy.

we will come back with a fix to the bug.
