Odd behavior when clicking/tapping on parts of code block

Describe the bug
When in edit or read mode I tap or click on parts of the code block the styling is removed and the text changes to just being black. On dark mode it appears to disappear, but in light mode it is evident that it is just removing the styling and making the text black

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Make a code block
2. Tap on parts of the highlighted code.
3. See error

Expected behavior
Text should remain highlighted.

I can't seem to reproduce this on linux.
