Distribution
Archliinux
Package version
Cinnamon 6.6.3
Graphics hardware in use
Intel UHD Graphics (24) @ 1.10 GHz [Integrated]
Frequency
Always
Bug description
I noticed CPU usage of >80% when playing streaming videos with Kodi.
This is caused by the lack of graphics acceleration support (VAAPI). The video is handled directly by the CPU (LLVMPIPE).
I don't think this is due to the player because I haven't seen a similar issue on the subject in its repo.
I haven't tested other apps, but it may be the same. Let me know if I should test others?
Steps to reproduce
- Enable Wayland session
- Play a video with Kodi
Expected behavior
Proper graphics acceleration support.
Additional information
No response
