I'm not quite sure where to begin with this issue because I'm really confused about it myself. I'm attempting to run the LRPS2 core on a system with:
- Ryzen 5950x
- GTX 3090
- Fedora 42
This machine should be overkill for PS2 emulation, and I've ran PCSX2 great on the same machine, but the LRPS2 core is a stuttery mess. I tweaked all settings and attempted multiple renderers, all stuttery. The stuttering even occurs when just launching the PS2 bios with no game loaded. During this troubleshooting I noticed something odd, when I would pause to go to the menu (I attempted this with no controller, just keyboard and mouse) the stuttering would briefly go away as I would move my mouse. I attempted this with the actual emulator launching a game, and lo-and-behold the stuttering completely disappeared as long as the mouse continued to move.
