[Feature request] Switch instance on timeout

Sometimes, it takes too long for an instance/frontend to respond. I would like to request a feature in LibRedirect that allows specifying a timeout, after which another instance would be selected at random and used instead.

This would be specifically useful when using LibRedirect as a search provider.

It would mean requiring a service worker running in background and check ping and http error codes at set interval. taking a chunk of memory.

Yes, it probably will, but I personally would be fine with such a memory hog to have that functionality. If the user is informed about the associated memory usage, it is ultimately the user's choice.

Probably when we start porting to Mv3. Still referencing APIs and docs to see if it's possible to port without any features missing. So, no ETA.
