Description

Description

The current Teams documentation covers team creation, ownership, invitations, and membership management, but does not describe what happens when a team is deleted.

Add documentation for the Delete Team operation to clarify its behavior and impact on team memberships and resources.

The documentation should clarify that:

  • Deleting a team dissolves the team.
  • All memberships associated with the team are removed.
  • User accounts are not deleted.
  • Associated resources remain intact.
  • Team ownership is removed along with the team.

Example

Suppose Team A contains Alice and Bob and is associated with several resources.

After deleting Team A:

  • Team A no longer exists.
  • Alice and Bob remain users in the organization.
  • Team memberships are removed.
  • Associated resources continue to exist.

Why

The Teams documentation currently explains how to create and manage teams, but does not explain the behavior of team deletion. Adding this information will help users understand the impact of deleting a team and avoid incorrect assumptions about resource or user removal.
