Application stays open in background after closed. It looks like it closes but must kill process every time.

If you dont kill the process, the app behaves strangely when launched again (still running in background)

The zombie process fix (PR #484) merged March 29 specifically targets Windows — it unlocks the window state before quit so the app terminates cleanly. If you're on an older version, updating should help.

If you're already on the latest version and still seeing this, could you confirm:

• OS (Windows/Mac/Linux)
• CrossOver version
• Whether the tray icon stays visible after closing

That'll help narrow down if this is a separate issue from the one already fixed.

Investigating this. Known workaround: use the tray icon's Quit option instead of closing the window — this triggers a clean app.quit() which properly tears down all hooks and processes.

Root cause likely: on Windows, when the crosshair window is in locked mode (closable=false), clicking the window's X button does not fire the close event, leaving the process running. Use the tray icon to quit cleanly until this is fixed.
