Seems to be nuget bustage?

You could try running mono in verbose mode, using
mono -v .nuget/NuGet.exe

running NuGet without any arguments will show the help, no need for a -help argument, in fact it doesn't recognise it.

My guess is that you're missing a libmono-xxx package, but it's hard to say which one.

You could also try downloading a more recent version of nuget, as suggested in NuGet/Home#3445 (comment)

yeah, mono in verbose mode doesn't seem to say anything other than that mono is running functions. nuget without options fails the same way. I'll have a look at a newer nuget, (newer mono is... not so easy) But what's nuget actually doing? All I want is a build, I don't need a solution file to load into mono-develop or anything, I just want a basic msbuild/ant sort of thing to make the binaries? Is there any other path to that?
